Bertie is a wildlife filmmaker who captures real-life wildlife stories in some of the harshest, most challenging environments on Earth. He currently shoots, hosts and produces “Epic Adventures with Bertie Gregory,” which airs on Disney+. His first series, “Wildlife with Bertie Gregory,” was aired by National Geographic. Bertie never needed to find his calling: his childhood obsession with animals sent him out into nature with a camera as a young teen, work that earned him the title of Youth Outdoor Photographer of the Year. He then studied zoology and his lifelong passion for wildlife soon evolved into filmmaking. Bertie was Steve Winter’s assistant for two years working on big cat projects, together they produced two documentaries for Nat Geo WILD: Leopards at the Door, and Jaguar Vs. Croc. In 2019, Bertie’s film, Resurrection Island, won Best Television Host at the 2019 Jackson Wild Awards––nature film’s equivalent of the Oscars. Bertie films for the landmark BBC David Attenborough Series, “Seven Worlds, One Planet.” In 2020, he became one of the British Academy of Film’s (BAFTA’s) youngest cinematography winners for his work on this series. He is a National Geographic Explorer.
